Influence of Selected Environmental Parameters on Rove Beetle (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae) Communities in Central European Floodplain Forests

چکیده
Wetlands and especially floodplain forests belong to the most endangered ecosystems in Europe, characterized by complex dynamics of flood dry periods providing specific irreplaceable habitats for many organisms, including bioindicators. Many rove beetle species, instance, are well-known detectors monitoring ecological change, however, their use environmental assessment requires expand insufficient knowledge on particularities assemblages. Therefore, we compared communities eight from 2015 2016. Staphylinids were sampled pitfall trapping. We taxocoenoses ecotones alongside three rivers (Danube, Tisa Begej). evaluated impact plant diversity cover vegetation layers, area, circumference age forest stands, distance edge, thickness litter layer, physical chemical properties soil leaf (conductivity, pH, P, N, H, C) anthropogenic structure communities. recorded significant interactions between total dynamic activity beetles number species shrub layer. Species richness was significantly positively correlated with layer negatively relative H content soil. did not find any correlation Shannon diversity, but evenness linked

Rove beetle subtribes Quediina, Amblyopinina and Tanygnathinina: systematic changes affecting Central European fauna (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae, Staphylinini)
In preparation for the new edition of the identification keys of rove beetles of Central Europe (Volume 4 of the "Die Käfer Mitteleuropas"), the following systematic problems affecting the Central European fauna of the tribe Staphylinini are addressed: phylogeny-based, new concepts for the subtribes Quediina and Amblyopinina; status of the subtribe Tanygnathinina; systematic position of the gen...
متن کاملAustralotarsius—a new genus of the rove beetle tribe Staphylinini from Australia (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Staphylininae)
Australotarsius Solodovnikov & Newton, gen. nov., a new genus of rove beetles of the tribe Staphylinini, endemic to Australia, is described and compared to other Staphylinini. It includes two new species, A. grandis Solodovnikov & Newton, sp. n. from Queensland and New South Wales, and A. tasmanicus Solodovnikov & Newton, sp. n. from Tasmania. The systematic position of Australotarsius within S...
متن کاملIridoid biosynthesis in staphylinid rove beetles (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae, Philonthinae).
The biosynthesis of chrysomelidial and plagiodial was studied in the rove beetle subtribe Philonthina (Staphylinidae). Glandular homogenates were found to convert synthetic (2E,6E)-[trideuteromethyl-5,5-(2)H(5)]octa-2,6-diene-1,8-diol (10) into nor-chrysomelidial (14) and nor-plagiodial (13). The overall transformation requires; i) oxidation of the substrate at C(1) and C(8), ii) cyclization of...
متن کاملRevision of the rove beetle genus Antimerus (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae, Staphylininae), a puzzling endemic Australian lineage of the tribe Staphylinini
The genus Antimerus Fauvel, 1878, endemic to eastern Australia and Tasmania and a phylogenetically enigmatic member of the large rove beetle tribe Staphylinini, is revised. The genus and each of its four previously known species are redescribed, and a lectotype is designated for Antimerus punctipennis Lea, 1906. Five species are described as new: Antimerus metallicussp. n., Antimerus jamesrodma...
